Why does my shoulder hurt during bench pressing?
Felt like you were gaining strength in the weight room and progressing well until one day you can’t even bench
Tye Smith2024-12-18 I highly recommend Dr.Dailey at Essential physical Therapy. I came to him with a painfully inflamed knee and was feeling very discouraged. From the very first appointment, Dr.Dailey was incredibly patient, understanding, and knowledgeable. He took the time to explain my condition clearly and create a personalized treatment plan that was both effective and challenging. He’s an excellent communicator and made sure I understood every step of the process. I felt comfortable asking questions and never felt rushed. He consistently encouraged me and celebrated my progress, which kept me motivated throughout my recovery. I especially appreciated the use of dry needling which significantly reduced my pain. Damien “cenTX4life” Roblow2024-10-29 My son suffered a baseball injury to his shoulder and lost his ability to throw a ball without severe pain. He has been working with Dr Dailey for a few months now and has seen significant improvement and a gradual decrease in pain. He has also gained strength and stability in his upper extremities as well as better lower body mechanics. Overall this has been an excellent experience, the energy in the building helped out as well as other trainers were also working with other athletes. Another thing that I found helpful was the personalized exercise programs that were put together by Dr Dailey and sent out daily via online app that my son could take and continue to work on his own each day. Mark Masarik2024-10-28 I was having shoulder pain and found Dr Jonathon on Facebook. It was an advertisement targeting gym rats like myself. I was experiencing pain especially on the bench press. He quickly diagnosed it as an issue with the bicep tendon which he treated. Dr J is excellent in his treatment and his professional demeanor. I would highly recommend someone going to see him if you are having shoulder/bicep issues. Robin Simpson2024-09-20 I visited Dr Dailey and his intern, Keon Jenkins, to address pain and mobility issues related to severe arthritis in both knees and hips. I have been a PT client on and off for 15 years starting with a torn meniscus. I had been somewhat pleased with most past providers, as I learned helpful tips & “workarounds” on how to manage what I perceived as my new normal. Dr. Dailey’s approach is head and shoulders above the rest! After performing a thorough evaluation and listening intensely to my concerns, they developed a thorough treatment plan to rapidly strengthen my supporting muscles…to a degree that I honestly thought was out of reach due to my age. In just 6 weeks, my quality of life has dramatically improved-helping me realize that I don’t have to accept “workarounds.” I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Dailey ! Keldrick Hayes2024-06-25 I was having a lot of shoulder pain that was limiting my lifestyle of working out and lifting weights. The pain wouldn’t allow me to sleep or lay on my shoulder. I didn’t know if surgery was needed but decided to give Essential physical therapy a chance. It has been the best decision I’ve made. I’m completely pain free, have more range of motion, can sleep pain free, and return back to the gym without a worry of pain. Thank you again Essential Physical Therapy Michelle DELONEY2024-05-12 I was originally going to TMI Sports Therapy for a knee injury. The exercises they gave me were great and I could see improvement on my knee. However, they were not consistent and I had a different physical therapist every time and I came in, and I did not feel like they truly cared about my recovery. I was then recommended to go to Jon through -Ment Fitness. He immediately assessed my knee and told me how he could help. Not only was he knowledgeable on the biology of the knee, but I could tell he was committed to my recovery. Before I went to Jon, I was not able to run or do any type of high impact jumps on my knee. He guaranteed me that I should see results after eight weeks of therapy with him. Before the eight weeks was up, I was already running and jumping again like I used to. Not only did he provide thorough exercises, but he also provided needling services that proved to be very effective. I highly recommend Jon for any of your physical therapy needs. Lisa Cockrell2024-05-05 If you have ever tried Physical Therapy in the past and did not notice improvement, I urge you to reach out to Essential Physical Therapy. Dr Dailey’s therapy focuses on your unique needs. I presented with severe lower back, legs and hip pain. Dr. Dailey created a plan to decrease my pain, increase mobility, and get me to a point of being able to move better and enjoy life. Christi Nelson2024-04-30 I went to Essential Physical Therapy with severe joint pain in my right hip and knee. I was convinced this had to be a bone issue because of the shooting pain I was experiencing. I was not able to effectively do my workouts or even common daily activities due to pain. From the initial consultation, Dr Dailey made me feel comfortable and heard. He listened intently and gave careful thought to what I was saying and set out a plan for my specific case. Though I was still doubtful that it wasn’t a bone issue, we started working my muscles with concentrated muscle strengthening exercises and dry needling. Dr Dailey paid attention to my pain levels and adjusted the exercises based on that. After a few sessions, we began to notice my ability to move my joints with considerable less pain. By the end of my ten weeks of therapy I was getting thru the full session without pain. Now I rarely feel pain in those joints! I am so thankful for Essential Physical Therapy and their staff! Gaye Borders-Crosby2024-03-05 This super bright young man is a super motivator! Pretty depressed on a back and spine procedure. He took his time and thoroughly sat with me to get a clear picture of my situation. The future looks bright! I received the honest and critical feedback that will help me reach my goals. Thanks Jon! Shadea Smith2024-01-22 I have had 7 sessions of physical therapy and Johnathan was so professional and worked with me through the process. He helped me gain strength back and now I am able move with 80% less pain. I have a little more work but it's been worth it.
